Solo more or less holding pace with IW, but slowly losing ground compared to BP and Deadpool.

Maybe I am wrong but unless a film is a decent size opener, there are never Thursday previews for openers here? Maybe at the main theatres?

Hmmm...I almost always have Thursday previews, especially at Courtney Park, Winston Churchill and even the Brampton Silver City.

I am not seeing them for this weeks film.

That's weird.  I know that for whatever reason, films that are predominately aimed at a black audience, do not get previews.  I'm not sure why the other films this weekend wouldn't have previews.

That’s because IW started abnormally strong with pre sales so it was impossible to keep up that pace , which would indicate a ...400 million ow . Solo is facing the same thing, very strong start but starting to slow down (obviously at much lower levels than IW but basically same situation.) and loosing ground to BP and Deadpool .

Breaking In 201 1050 19.14%
Life of the Party 51 1535 3.32%
Deadpool 2 548 2042 26.84%
Solo 443 2034 21.78%

Breaking In has...well, broken out in my theater. Right now, it's ~150 tickets behind Proud Mary and ~270 tickets behind Acrimony, and it still has two days to go. Life of the Party is slightly behind Blockers at the moment, and it will probably pass that and match Game Night.

Solo doubled over the past four days, Deadpool got 70 extra tickets, both seem to be doing good, blah blah blah

Breaking In 428 1050 32.00%
Life of the Party 156 1535 10.16%

Well, Life of the Party certainly didn't match Game Night, but greatly exceeded it. Don't know how it got such a big boost, but I guess McCarthy still has great draw power, at least when it comes to pre-sales.

Breaking In Comps:

120% of Proud Mary ($12M)

90% of Acrimony ($15.5M)

Life of the Party Comps:

59% of Bad Moms 2's 3-Day ($9.9M)

63% of Daddy's Home 2 ($18.6M)

93% of Pitch Perfect 3 ($18.6M)

120% of Super Troopers 2 ($18.2M)

The Acrimony and DH2/PP3 comps seem like the best ones

Reminds me of the time BOM accidentally reported Age of Adeline’s 6th weekend or something to be like 15M or something (can’t remember the exact #) but I remember when Collider’s box office segment of the show ran with it and reported it like they were all astonished at its increase
