If this is the case, then they need to just do away with divisions and leagues, top 12 records go to the playoffs

Not gonna be a perfectly balanced schedule, just more balanced.  Though how, I don't know.

 

Does make it more likely that we're gonna eventually go to a four team division, 32 teams overall format once expansion comes tho.

Thing is, I'm old enough to have lived through the time when there was more of a balanced schedule.  And you know what?  Fans hated it then as well.

 

WHY CAN'T WE PLAY OUR RIVALS MORE!!!

WHY ARE WE PLAYING [TEAM I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT] IN SEPTEMBER!!!

WHY DO WE HAVE TO WAIT SO LONG TO PLAY [INSERT FAVORITE ENEMY TEAM]!!!

 

It's almost as if baseball fans (and really all sports fans) are hard wired to complain about everything.
