Netflix arguing they are defending the little man against the Steven Spielberg who doens't have to worry if his movie will get produced and distributed.

MJ was already proven innocent when you white people turned his life into hell for more than 10 years. FBI looked into everything in his house and his life, even forced him to strip naked. You took everything from him, and now 10 years after you took his life you all coming for his legacy. But you ain't getting it, we will always be with Michael.

Yes, and he turned life into a living hell for multiple young boys.  The only difference is that instead of 10 years, they’re in a living hell for life.

Who is running this account? How is it still going?

Lionsgate will have lots of social media employees. Doesn't take up much time for one of them to keep this account going and make 1 post every few days.

Hunger Games has the same thing going on. I was alerted that their Twitter account is still up after making a GOT meme a couple weeks back. Going down the rabbit hole, all the account does nowadays is just link to articles that mention Hunger Games, make dumb memes, and post "happy birthday" to the actors of the movies. It's honestly kind of depressing

A dignified final tweet.  KILLMONGER!

(excluding retweets)

Ah. That was the twitter page that had a fake cast Q&A where all the questions were submitted (and most likely answered) by accounts linked to employees of a digital marketing firm.

I don't think it should be surprising that there are (i presume) hundreds of old films with active social media accounts. If they have a presence / following, then making one small interaction keeps some level of awareness with fans. The film is still for sale, will still get streamed, will still be on TV. Studios have a vested interest in keeping interest in a film for long after release.

They will have a bunch of staff in their social media team who don't need to be paid crazy amounts of money, and that department will keep things ticking over on lots of accounts, and the overall long term result is worth the cost of running the accounts.

I have a friend who works as social media for a major streaming company and it amazes me how many people are in his department and just run twitter accounts. but the company has hundreds of accounts for all their products .
