Just some very strict and dumb pass restrictions. If something was not paid for with money it could not be used. So a Recovery pas for example, which is given out for example if a projector bulb explodes or the power goes out or anything that interrupts or ends the movie for a guest, could not be used for Born in China UNLESS the pass was given out AT another Disney film. However there's nothing on the passes that say that so we personally have to explain it to every customer who tries to use one. Same with any sort of vouchers that are given out as prizes, through the school's or other businesses etc. Again, the problem is that nothing specifies that they cannot be used for disney movies so poor little Me has to look like the bad guy telling people why I can't even put it in the computer.

Did people actually try to use theither free tickets... on... Born in China...?

For the sake of this forum I hope Justice League is a decent film.

My brother gave me a free ticket for JL on the 15th as a birthday gift.

So regardless if it's good or shit I'll lose nothing either way (except two hours if it's bad) :sparta:

Really good number for Thor. Not quite as high as I had hoped after the Thursday preview number, but it's still in line for an opening over $110 million, which is great coming off a tepidly-received predecessor that opened to $85.7 million.

To those saying Thor won't have the screen space when JL opens, this is what I expect my 12-plex theater to have that weekend:

Justice League x4

Thor x3

The Star

Wonder

Orient Express

Daddy's Home 2

Bad Moms Christmas

There's no reason for it to be down to one screen when it'll still be over 20M and there are still October holds to get rid of. I expect it to lose the additional screens over Thanksgiving along with one JL screen and Bad Moms leaving for two Coco screens, Roman Israel, and Lady Bird (if Three Billboards expands or Man Who Invented Christmas actually goes wide, take away another JL screen).

Correct.  Thor: Ragnarok will have ZERO trouble getting screen space the opening weekend of Justice League.  What else are theaters going to be playing or a threat to take screens.

Bad Moms will be gone or down to 1 screen.  Murder on the Orient will have 1 screen.  Daddy's Home will have 1 screen.  Wonder will have 1 screen. Lady Bird will only be in select markets.  Same thing with Three Billboards.

Even a 10 screen theater is going to have 2 screens for Thor.  A 20 screen theater might have 4 screens.  It is going to run very strong through November and will still be doing business until Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens.

I loki want Thor to have more screens and replace some other showtimes.

Okay this is a bit embarassing but I thought Lady Bird was the second film after Jackie in the First Lady shared universe

Don't feel bad Dar - every time I see it I think it's Lady Bird Johnson too.
