The re-release of Deathly Hallows 2 is doing quite well.

although it's earning considerably less than the original release did.

$55 million would allow for Ragnarok to post a very slightly stronger hold than The Dark World. It's obviously going to get hit hard with Justice League's arrival next week, but it should rebound over Thanksgiving thanks to the unusual lack of depth among the holiday weekend's wide releases - not unlike Dark World four years ago.

Plus JL won't have anywhere near as much Holding power as Catching Fire did which made like 110 million over the 5-days Thanksgiving Weekend plus nearly 100 million for Frozen.

It appears Thor 3 in the SPH homecoming Spot (late July) would have done 350 plus likely.

Think 310-320 at this rate.

310?

I think the range is closer to 320 to 340 m.

Even if Thor 3 has a huge drop next weekend the holidays are the following week.

Much more realistic number for Thor and it's still a great one.

Fantastic for Murder and good for Daddy. Will be curious to see if / how Friday heavy the films are.

Also, Raegr reminds me of how terrible @Ethan Hunt was in the early years.... All that HSM stabbing and such.... :gold:

How bad was Ethan Hunt? Between Han, Ethan and TOG who was the tamest when they started.

It's really fascinating how everyone seems to have avoided Thanksgiving this year aside from Disney with Coco (Sony is clearly dumping Roman J. Israel, Esq. at this point). There's nothing opening on either of the following two weekends either (other than the wide release of The Disaster Artist). Was everyone really that scared of The Last Jedi?

What can you do when you're displacing other franchises and are the only franchises to have 5 100M+ openers in a row.

Celebrate unlike the rest who remain bitter and pressed cause they can only wish to have as big as an impact and be as iconic and relevant.

No. I think STX looked at Bosses 2 and thought it’d be best to put in against Thor for potentially a better chance. Everything else got cluttered.
