What do you guys think the internal multiplier will be like for the weekend? CIVIL WAR's Thursday preview number was also $25M. Are we expecting roughly the same number for the weekend (over/under $179M)?

Hopefully less frontloaded since it's not a sequel and should be drawing in a new audience.

Ultron dropped 26% from Avengers.

Civil War dropped 11% from Ultron.

Whichever you consider to be the previous avengers movie, the same drop again would put it below GOTG2.

And this is not the final film so don't give me that "finale bump" shtick.

But it is being promoted as the finale. You (and we film fans who follow news constantly) know it's not the ending, but the GA who's being led to believe it is doesn't. And even if suffers a 75% 2nd weekend drop due to the GA being pissed off about getting conned into a false ending that's actually a Part 1, the 200M+ opening that it has a very solid chance of getting would push it over 400M and probably on par with or over Civil War. Needless to say it'd be over GOTG V2 as well, right?

Also, if the "constant dips" formula was always true, then how come Goblet Of Fire increased from Prisoner Of Azkaban AND Chamber Of Secrets both? Chamber dropped considerably from Philosopher's Stone, Azkaban dropped further from that... and then Goblet went up. This proves that formula doesn't always happen. Sure, it didn't require knowledge from 19 other flicks or whatever, but for what's worth, the Potter numbers kept going up after Goblet (if ever so slightly), sans for Deathly Hallows P1 which decreased from Half-Blood Prince because it was a pretty slow paced movie with some of the franchise's lesser wom (ironically, I think it's one of the best Potter flicks).

Dc trolls at it again. Such fucking idiots.

Can we be clear that this isn’t just DC trolls? DC and Marvel both have their troll fans.

However, this is a political crowd, “trump” trolls who attacked Last Jedi, Ghostbusters, Amy Schumer, Oceans Eight, Jennifer Lawrence etc.

This isnt just DC trolls.

Dunno if it's been said, but in http://deadline.com/2018/02/black-panther-thursday-night-preview-box-office-1202291093/ there's this lovely quote:

Black Panther‘s previews are exactly where we told you we would see them and Disney is reporting $25.2M this morning.

History is gonna be made this weekend. Another superhero to unite the people, while politics do just the opposite.

I think we don't even know, yet, how Wonder Woman and Black Panther, as simple Entertainment, will influence the lifes of so many people, being surpressed by others.
