Aw man, that’s not good that I Feel Pretty fell, I was expecting a 15% increase. Crap. It’ll barely beat tracking. Looks like $15.75m like they say (with a 38% Sunday drop). Meh.

I saw it last night and it was lame as hell except for Michelle Williams and...whatever the fuck she was doing lol.

Hmmm..... Rampage playing like a family film?!

Lol wonder what the contrarians will say this week...

As for the other off topic stuff, i will never understand the shit Empirecity got from some folks, particularly when other posters behave much worse and nothing is done / said.

@EmpireCity if that was a private conversation between you and him and you just showed it to everyone that doesn’t really look good on your character no matter if you are right or wrong in your conversation.

It should stay between you and him.

It’s a completely out of context quote. Obviously he and Baumer have history. I don’t post much and don’t know anything about EC but if his usual posts are like the ones in the thread the quote came from he seems awfully arrogant and dickish. Here’s the thread so you can decide for yourself

Great rebound, again, for Rampage.

I am stunned that Truth or Dare didn’t fall 70%. Hell it didn’t even fall 60%. RT audience scores: officially meaningless.

To be honest, any Internet audience score was and is meaningless. Why some people choose to use them as a metric baffles me. They are so easy to manipulate and the number of people who give their ratings are not representative of a majority of the moviegoers who watched a film.

Also, AQP' run makes me really happy. Quality horror films really get rewarded in the last few years.

With IT, Get Out, Annabelle Creation and now A Quiet Place all doing $100m+ it’s an exciting time to be a horror fan, and finally see the genre rewarded.

I left out Split cause I thought it sucked, lol.

Great rebound, again, for Rampage. 50% drops from here on get it to $94m, can it save some face domestically and get to $100m? Rock is on social media saying it’s the #1 movie in the world again, but obviously it isn’t.

What's the number one movie in the world?

Don't think a movie made more than it did worldwide so it would be the number 1 movie in the world again

I've never seen horror with this kind of run, in my life time.  Even when horror was revitalized after Scream in 1996, we never got numbers like IT and Get Out.  Just off the top of my head the best horror films in terms of gross around the Scream era (not including Scream) were films like I Know What You did Last Summer and the Saw movies.  Just doing a quick search, those films sold about 13 million tickets according to Mojo.  AQP is going to easily sail past that and IT and Get Out are well past those numbers.  As you said, this is really a great time to be a horror fan.

Lord, for the sake of me getting back on a Casino win streak, please let this number be so:)...

Super Troopers is still doing more than double what almost everyone here thought it would, including myself.  I took under 6 million in one of the summer game questions.

And on the topic of the last day, baumer and empirecity...I appreciate what both of you bring to the board, even when we've been in wild disagreement (and others know - we've been in some:).  It'd be a shame if the board wasn't big enough for the both of you, b/c you each bring really useful and different info:)...

So, since I missed last night's drama, hopefully, it's something that some sleep and distance cured and let you see that it's a posting board disagreement, and those are the molehills in life...but relationships you might have built on the boards are the mountains...and the mountains are always what matter:).

You must have mistaken '#1 movie in the World' with '#1 movie in North America'. Rampage will bring in 20m+ & 26m+ this weekend from NA & China respectively. It isn't opening in new OS territories this weekend but it did open to 61.5m+ from the remaining OS countries (OS-China) on OW.

Rampage will have a 70m+ world-wide weekend this term. So it's definitely the #1 movie in the world.

Or did The Rock mistake “number #1 movie in the world” with “#1 movie internationally”.
