The numbers AIW has made are just incredible considering the fact how many MCU movies you’ve had to watch to understand what’s going on. Minimum of at least 5.

Guardians of the galaxy

The Avengers

Doctor Strange

Thor Ragnarok

Avengers age of Ultron

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic:  $89,744,663    22.6%
Foreign:  $307,400,000    77.4%

Worldwide:  $397,144,663

Rampage did 6.4 OS so should add 11 more there. And around 6.5 more Dom gives 397.1 + 11 + 6.5 = 414.6 with Japan remaining (May 18 release).

So 425 is very likely (3.54x it's 120 prod budget)

Deadpool is a hard R and won’t appeal to everyone who watches a PG13 tent pole like Avengers

Best 3rd Weekends for Live Action Comic Book Movies

Title (Year) — Third Weekend Gross (Drop from Second Weekend)
6. Wonder Woman (2017) — 41.3 million (-29.5%)

Wonder Woman with the best third weekend hold out of all of them

RPO on 573+ ww and will go past 575 ww. Was looking at 145+ dom before AIW hit it. Must have been hit harder OS. 600 ww looked very real at one point.

The OS grosses for both RPO and Rampage are impressive, it's no BP or Avengers but I imagine WB are very happy with how both panned out. RPO in particular.

This weekend drop in OS-China was steeper than expected. This could miss 2B with sth like 650M/1B/325M.

agree that 2b is not locked.

but just 102 more dom after a 62 weekend is impossibly low imo. even on the low-end it should add 110-115 more for 660-665

is on 859 OS-China after 81 weekend so 1000 OS-China seems reasonable and may even miss it in the worst-case.

325 China the floor probably.

660 + 990 + 325 = 1975 around the worst case imo and so don't think 2b is locked but feel it's more likely than not.

Disappointing hold from IW.....My titanic rank is going to drop again in less than 3 months...

come on my man, you're located in Malaysia have some Worldwide pride. Jim's films are universal for everyone which is why Titanic sits at #2 behind Avatar.

Watch meltdowns come back when it drops 60%+ next weekend lol.

That's not going to happen. 50-55%. 60 is way too high.

IW has been mirroring GOTG 2's drops so far

Err. Why not? One of the reasons IW has held this well is because there's been no competition. Literally no competition at all. It will have regular (steep) superhero film drops from here on out.

the reason it won't hurt it internationally is because DP is a domestic focused film, not near as popular as the Avengers globally.

yeah both movies will make just over 1b ww combined for them. but i think they will be happier with rampage's performance than rpo as it was much cheaper.

What?

Deadpool grossed 420M not including China. That's more than Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor Ragnarok, Winter Soldier, Doctor Strange, Justice League, Wonder Woman, and all X-Men films... Deadpool was BIG. Just because its not as big as Avengers, doesn't mean it is not competition.

This week was inflated due to mothers day by about 3 million and with deadpool2 coming in it's going to be a rough drop.

RPO was always going to be more expensive given it's Spielberg and the nature of the source material. RPO was overshadowed by AQP domestically but it more than made up that up OS

Both films will make a nice profit for WB,

it did not make more than GOTG2 internationally, Thor 2 made more internationally, thor 3 did as well. WW wasn't a huge international film though.
