You gotta get in the spirit, man. These are huge preview numbers, and a record setting opening weekend for an animated film is on the way. This and next weekend will be the big one-two punch of the summer. Enjoy the massive numbers while you can.

Anyone want to take a stab at Tag's opening weekend?  It did the same number as Shallows in previews......Shallows opened to 16.8

JW will gross 150M+ on OW and Incredibles is still gonna blow up to 550M+ DOM total, very probably now over 600M. This is gonna be the bigger version of 2015's June!

After previews being 101% higher than Dory, OW-previews needs to be "only" 40.15% higher than Dory's OW-previews for I2's OW to hit 200.

 

9.20 + 129.5 = 135.1

18.5 + 181.5 = 200.0

 

Easier said than done really.

Take the word franchise out and that's pretty accurate. TI does lend itself more to a sequel though than Nemo and I'm sure it will take a big advantage off the superhero popularity right now.
