I know it sorta makes sense from a marketing perspective since he's one of the biggest rising names in the industry right now but I have to laugh at how Laurie has become nearly front and center of the whole promo for this Little Women. He's even the first person on the left of that banner they have at the top on the movie's Twitter page lmao (FYI they also have posters for Dern and Meryl).

There was a mini series (at least the third one) for the BBC less than two years ago and there was also that Christian thing done in the modern era last year.  It's even been animated a couple of times including a 26 episode Anime Japanese series

It's typical for December Oscar contenders that are also expected to be major box office contenders to be under embargo until closer to release (or Golden Globe nominations). The Post had a similar late embargo two years ago.

Except The Post didn't even have screenings until circa november 20th.
