Guys, if Logan couldn't get a BP nomination, no way in hell is Infinity War getting one.

IMO I don't even think BP deserves one. Anything bigger than screenplay/score etc shouldn't, but still might, happen

2012, 2007 - both years had Saturday on July 7th.

2012 - Sat avg., top 10 gross +12.5% over Friday.

2007 - Sat avg., top 10 gross +15.7% over Friday

2018 - Sat avg., top 10 gross +11.2% over Friday (minus Thursday Ant-Man previews)

2012 - Sun avg., top 10 gross -25.1% from Saturday

2007 - Sun avg., top 10 gross -18.5% from Saturday

2018 - Sun avg., top 10 gross (estimates) -22.5% from Saturday

assuming -20% for the following movies on Sunday gives these weekend grosses.

-20% Ant-Man - 76.30 - 76.30

-20% Incredibles - 29.02 - 504.38

-20% Jurassic - 28.91 - 333.67

-20% Purge 4 - 17.46 - 31.37

-20% Sicario - 7.60 - 35.60

-20% Uncle - 6.77 - 30.09

-20% Ocean's - 5.28 - 126.75

-20% Tag - 3.11 - 48.33

-20% Neighbor - 2.54 - 12.33

-20% Deadpool - 1.72 - 314.59

-20% Sanju - 1.27 - 5.98

-20% Hereditary - 1.01 - 41.87

-31.3% Avengers - 0.87 - 674.79

-31.3% Solo - 1.02 - 210.88

-20% Superfly - 0.653 - 19.86

-20% Book  - 0.442 - 67.18

-20% Adrift - 0.306 - 30.86

In 2012, the weekly/weekend ratio during July 6-8 was 50.5% of the weekday grosses being from the weekend.  Assuming big Tuesday jumps and bigger Thursday losses, 50% should be the baseline for this.  Book Club usually goes to 90%, I2 and other Pixar films should average 67%.

2007 - Mon avg., top 10 gross - 54.9% from Sunday

2012 - Mon avg., top 10 gross -55.4% from Sunday

- a little more than a 50% drop on Monday seems fair here as the Sunday drops are so light over this weekend, historically.

for the next weekend, 2007 and 2012 saw larger Saturday jumps and Sunday holds that matched Friday #s

2007 - Sat. avg., top 10 gross +18.6% over Friday

2007 - Sun. avg., top 10 gross -23.5% from Sunday

2012 - Sat. avg., top 10 gross +21.9% over Friday

2012 - Sat. avg., top 10 gross -21.5% from Sunday

this year might increase just a little more on Saturday, but it is easiest to assume moderate average weekend to weekend drops per film.

in 2017, War for the Planet of the Apes opened along side Wish Upon and the Saturday increases for most film were not as good as they were in June.

then in 2016, The Secret Life of Pets opened alongside Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates and the Saturday increases were most under 50% that during time too.

But Ant Man was pretty good while two of the worst Marvel movies, Doctor Strangw and Spider-Man Homecoming, made money

You know what,  I think I agree with you.  For the most part,  Ant-Man is inoffensive.

There's a dimension where T2 made more than Avatar and Trump gets laughed out the primaries.

How did I end up in this timeline?

My guardian angel must've lost a bet.

Banned. :Venom:

Side note. (The cool off period is annoying and useless. I never write more sterile shit as a result of the cool off period. It only ticks me off worse.)
