This movie could be a double cultural zeitgeist film, if RC can pull it off.

I guess anything is possible but I think that is an exceedingly low chance. Would settle for recapturing part of the zeitgeist of the first and strong reception.

Lots of promo stuff this weekend. Something is coming.

So.....Namor is a dude in a speedo???

I’m thinking they’re all leaks and we won’t get anything until ComicCon.

already deleted the tweet. Must be real!

It’s either totally fake or a really early concept art.

I do think the Namor stuff will be a boost to the movie, but not due to representation. The Hispanic community in the United States, while it does share a few common factors, is much more disparate than the Black community and doesn't have as much shared historical experience, which makes it a lot harder to pull off something like what Black Panther did. And I don't know that this factor will really be much of a big deal in Latin America, either.

Still, I think the plotline lends a sense of scale and importance to the movie, making it feel like more of an event rather than something more contained like L&T (especially if whatever is going on with Namor here ends up being connected to a larger arc).

I think the Wakanada vs Atlantis can make the scale of the movie look very attractive but I agree that the Aztec and Maya aspect won't be relevant for hispanics on the US.

Regarding Latin America that is more a Mexico and central America thing, not much for the rest of latin america.

Creed 3 has been delayed, right?

This film really has a good date. Nothing significant until Avatar 2 (not feeling Strange World after that teaser), and with two holidays until the giant smurfs.

Maybe 550m DOM.
