Any CBM really gets tracked daily until the end of its run, not just Captain Marvel. So yea, you're right in saying CM got more excitement than F8, but it's simple due to the fact that it's a superhero movie, and there are a lot of superhero stans on this site (which isn't a bad thing of course). But it isn't some conspiracy surrounding the movie itself. One thing I've noticed too is that a lot of the Forum veterans get pretty excited when ANY movie has a huge gross, regardless of the genre. It's more the part-time posters (100-1000 posts) who stan for a particular franchise or brand. After Wednesday, CM had earned approximately $148.57m, or just under ¥999.5m.
