Hopefully this means a suit with no gadgets and not so much CGI.

I can't imagine that going away. Maybe he'll design his own gadgets and tools with his smarts to enhance it? Or, like in Homecoming, write it in a way in which they're taken away.

Again, the way he was integrated in CW which was brilliant, made sense for Stark to upgrade his suit. So he could contend with the other heroes right away, later go to space in IW and so on and so on. Had to realize it would be this way since CW.

They got Spidey late. Did the very best they could in integrating him.

Awesome to see Spider-Man making it to $185 million in spite of its OD and many going into panic mode. Also very happy to finally have a movie not underperform and play exactly like people expected it to play (many called 180-200 going into last week and my number was 185 million, so I'm seriously shocked it did exactly that over these 6 days).

Now let's see the legs, and based on how it played (it wasn't frontloaded) I have a feeling we'll have a good run to look forward to. Too soon of course to accurately pinpoint where it will end up, but I'm fairly confident now that it will be $370+ million in North America.

yeah, it wasnt very frontloaded, which suprised me if it continues to play like that the possible a 2,1 multi could happen

You know a movie is on the right path (as far as legs go) when people lower their predictions after opening day only for the movie to still make what they expected initially. Can't remember the last time that happened with a very big movie like this one after an opening day that was lower than what people expected (because let's be real, we all thought it would do 40+, even 50).

Excellent. Hopefully strong weekdays and a sub 50% dip this weekend.

It's gonna be interesting seeing a MCU movie avoid the "big drops in 2nd and 3rd weekends with strong late legs" pattern that has been going on for a few years.

The usual +55-60% drop would be terrible for a deflated OW. If it follows TASM with ~45% that'd be O/U $50m second weekend which sounds like a nice target.

OW isn't really deflated - Friday acted like another Sat - hence the small Sat bumps.

But it is w/o the usual large Thur previews rolled into the w/e so it's drop should drop nearer to 50% than 55% - let alone 60%
