That’s gigantic, the sequel could end up one of the biggest films of the summer here. I'm expecting a drop but it wouldn't be surprising if it does say £35-45m, hitting the heights of the first is hard because there's a lot more competition. Heretic
Bank holiday weekend coming up so another 4 day weekend for IW. It should be around the £50m mark after next Monday, already past the lifetime total of AoU, and nearing TA's £51.9m. It will pass TDKR's £56.3m shortly after to become biggest superhero film ever. So we'll have two £50m+ grossers soon, I wonder which other films will top that this year. Possibly The Incredibles and Fantastic Beasts. Jurassic World I can see hitting £40m but £50m might be a bit of a stretch. Mary Poppins also has huge potential. Incredibles 2 has a lot of competition but Dory's £40m total is doable, FB2 is a maybe, JW I wouldn't be shocked if it goes sub £40m, I think Poppins really depends if it's good or not, December is very packed this year. Heretic
$45.5m as of Monday means around £33.4m, so a £4m Monday!! That's absolutely huge for a weekday when schools are in. AoU for comparison made £5.7m in its entire Mon-Thu. Looks like IW should easily top £10m for the week, and might even hit £12m which would put it over £40m going into the bank holiday weekend. However, the weather this weekend looks like it's warming up significantly again and it's a holiday weekend so people will take advantage of the outdoors. This will probably impact the BO and cause bigger drops than normal. One thing to bare in mind..

Guess limited capacity will always struggle against the 20 screen multiplexes who can show it on 10-11 screens compared to only 1-3 screens max. I wouldn't be surprised if Cineworld O2 cracks the list when they complete their expansion, they're going from a 11 screen cinema to 18 screens IIRC

Heretic
Yeah that's strange. 45.5 converts to £33.4m and opening was £29.4m. They must be calculating ER wrong. Still, it should be able to pull off £10m weekdays.
