Ya there’s really no point, this is mainly hardcore dc fans seeing it tonight. I know others are seeing it as well but from what I saw it was mainly fans.

Reviews will be the next thing that helps boost sales after the initial sale starts tomorrow.

Yup. Reactions tonight are meaningless except to build hype. The big test will be the reviews which I'm expecting at 11:59pm Eastern on the 12th just as the fan screenings let out.

You gotta love how the marketing team has swept Ezra Miller's monstrous abuse under the rug by basically going "yeah yeah yeah sure he beat and choked a bunch of people BUT ONCE YOU SEE THE MOVIE YOU'LL FORGET ALL THAT!!!"

This movie was never going to be shelved, that was absurd internet hyperbolic exaggeration.

Miller is also not going to be recast if the film is as positively received as expected and EM performance is praised so long as EM stays on the straight and now. Is what it is. I know that the bigger virtue signalers out there may not like it but such is life. There is an enormous list of celebrities who have done MUCH worse than Miller and their careers were just fine. Be an adult and realize people both make mistakes and sometimes learn from them. If EM is a well-received lead star of a mega smash franchise tentpole?

EM is not going anywhere.

no Miller is done. Setting aside Miller’s behavior we are heading into a full reboot.

What do you want them to do? Promote the movie by showing their mugshot? They put out their pr piece in the trade saying Ezra was getting help. This movie cost too much to shelve and it’s not like Ezra is the first person to be terrible in Hollywood and definitely won’t be the last.

Anyone who has a moral issue with Miller shouldn’t see the movie, it’s fair to feel however you like.

Sure, they may be "quiet" now, but so were they from 2020-2022 from when they choked a woman and then started assaulting people on Hawaii.

He has shady history since before BvS if he makes more noise who knows what more will be revealed in media circles 💀💀

According to a user who just came out of the fan screening, the cut being shown is the same one from Cinema Con. With Andy's disclaimer that it isn't the finished film, and the outro is only the director's credit.

Ya it was being reported yesterday it was the Cinema con cut with the vfx not being done and no post credit scenes.

If it's true that Miller shines in this movie (which I actually expect him to because he's a really good actor) that sucks for him because this likely would have catapulted his career.  Lesson to be learned here.  Very similar to the Jonathan Majors stuff. He was also on the way to superstardom.

Based on what we have with GotGV2 being well received by critics and very well received by audiences... Very soon expecting the same for Spider-Verse. And, more and more, seems likely Flash will fall right in line with those other two in being very well received... Looks like after a rut superhero movies have found a groove with these 3 movies essentially all releasing in a 7 week span too.

Posters popping up over London now. Unsurprisingly Batman is framed far larger than its titular character. A quote from someone I’ve never heard of calling it “one of the greatest superhero movies of all time” adorns the top edge.

What else can they do?
