Yeah... It looks beautiful and some parts make me really excited (that last shot), but this seems like it could fail and more footage only proves that.

This looks really good, but it's going to get murdered by SW7 and anything that pretty much goes up against it.. I'll bet they end up pushing this date back for this so to at least give it a chance to make some $$$$$... It'd be a waste if it didn't...

 

It'll do fine. it doesn't go wide until after the holidays, awards movies people actually wanna see always do well in jan. and since it's inarritu I'm betting it isn't especially commercially friendly but people will wanna go see leo in a revenge flick.

If it does, then Joy is winning this. Unless Joy also disappoints in which case Steve Jobs or Spotlight will take it.

The stuff with the son doesn't look good to me, but it is just a trailer.

The lighting obviously looks amazing and the trailer does a really good job capturing tension.

I'm just too worried people are going to prematurely herald this a masterpiece. They already are!
