How are the reviews for Brahmastra looking? Seeing it tomorrow.

It was at 100% for a couple of days - now it's dropped to 63%. The 70% Verified Score ain't that great either.

Popular reception to good horror films is a lottery. It's such a heterogenous genre and people tend to evaluate them against their own affective responses.

I'd say it's inverted, but then you occasionally get good responses for good films like Black Phone, and poor responses for popular-appealing bad films like Firestarter and The Turning so it's not as though audiences are already wrong.

Usually though sentiment is ultra, ultra harsh on horror (albeit not as bad as in the early 2000s). Given that, what I found really weird though was about three years ago when you had the underwhelming-to-awful double whammy of It Chapter 2 and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark that for some reason almost everyone was incredibly magnanimous generous towards.

I study the damn subject, and yet sometimes it still bamboozles me.

Data Transperancy is still an issue in many countries.

So Paramount has always been shady like this - no Puerto Rico this time? 😂
