Father’s Day/Juneteenth Weekend Thread | Flash implodes with 55M, Elemental bombs with 29M, holdovers hold atrociously | Theaters are dead, streaming is dead. Everything is dead really.

The Flash will barely open higher than Green Lantern or Shazam 1 despite all the hoopla. That's pretty damn embarrassing. If not for being a sort-of Batman movie, I doubt it would've opened much higher than Shazam 2 did.

Wow, this June has been kind of a bust aside from Spider-Verse 2 and to a lesser extent Transformers. The ridiculously packed schedule is really hurting everything badly. Marvel's likely insanely thankfuly they already pushed The Marvels to the fall. Hopefully Hollywood will take notes from this and do a much necessary rethinking of their summer slates for next year.

Thankfully July has a lot of appealing movies with good buzz like Mission Impossible, Oppenheimer and Barbie. It should be a far healtier month than this one has been.

This Flash performance will put even more pressure on Superman Legacy than it already is dealing with. James Gunn is going to need all the luck in the world now.

Could Spider-Verse be the last 100M opener until Beyond the Spider-Verse (assuming it makes its March 2024 release date)?

The Marvels should do it even if just barely. Otherwise, nope, it seems not.

Gunn really has no choice but to fire Muschetti. Like… come on. This is a career ending flop.

First Mangold and now Muschietti, bad luck with the 2 guys that have been hired so far
