I was saddest when Dench's stint was up. I think back to Skyfall and I love how they handled her last movie. You knew it was her last movie so the investigation had you wrongly concluding that she'll be forced out of MI6. Then they have the guts to kill her. Pretty great way to send her out in style.

Absolutely. The fact they had the guts to kill a major character at all was impressive.

Sure, they killed Felix in License to Kill and and Q retired in TWINE (before passing away in real life, sadly), but M's swan song added the kind of gravitas that the series has never seen before.

I had a hard time when Brosnan said he was leaving. When Craig wraps it up, I'll be inconsolable.

I hope he beats Brosnan's tally of four which he'll tie with the 2014 edition.

Casino Royale

Quantum

Skyfall

Bond 24 (2014) - confirmed

Bond 25??

Not to mention MI6 getting blown up.

They didn't kill Felix off, he just lost his legs as an homage to what happens to him in the Fleming novels.

I actually disagree that killing her off was gutsy. It was cliche and predictable. It would be gutsier if she retired. I mena, the type of character she`s playing is one of those tropes who cannot leave or redeem themselves without dying. So putting her in retirement would have been bold instead of taking the route everyone knew they`d take from 10000 other movies with the same trope.

Please, YES!

He and Bigelow are really my top two choices.

Bigelow minus Mark Boal. I can`t stomach his fanfiction that he always tries to pass as real depiction of events. Both THL and ZDT were disputed as accurate yet he keeps insisting and his megalomania is getting bigger and bigger. The marketing approach that ZDT was literally step by step of what happened (which he and Bigelow had to deny later amid growing evidence the movie was a fanfiction)  backfired really badly on the movie this awards season. I mean, at this rate he`ll be claiming that Bond is 100% real person.
