I am wrong then. Lion king was bigger than Beast and only slightly below Aladdin. Do you have admission numbers as well.

I tried searching, but I don't think Corpse ever posted the admission numbers for the older films (only if they passed 5 million admissions).

The Harry Potter films were so big in Japan, Australia and Europe! ❤️

If only the Chinese market were as big at that time as it is today...

When (cause let's face it WB won't be able to resist it) they make a Harry Potter 9 it'll be a contender for the $2 Billion mark.

That's actually average to me, than I expected. I mean Ralph 2 was underperformer and its in Top 7.

You know I kind of doubt that, because I don't think there's a big compelling story to tell there.

$130 million is definitely possible, but $150 million is probably too high. The multiplier is generally around 9x-11x for a Pixar film released in July. Let's say average 10x. Using Corpse's weekend estimate would give ¥13.25 billion or around $123 million.

When (cause let's face it WB won't be able to resist it) they make a Harry Potter 9 it'll be a contender for the $2 Billion mark.

Where will the story go? I hope it's not The Cursed Child if that happens. That story sucks. It was very lazy writing.

Wow! Inflated or not, that is a crazy number for TS4! Definitely waaay better than I expected. So looks like we will get another ¥10b+ and $100m+ grosser.

That's actually average to me, than I expected. I mean Ralph 2 was underperformer and its in Top 7.

Well, Japan was more Pixar than WDAS, until recently. In fact, before Frozen, Dinosaur was the highest grossing WDAS movie with only $40m.

BATB had Emma Watson who is huge in Japan thanks to the Harry Potter franchise. Not to mention the movie is more in line with Japan's traditional tastes (pretty looking princess, high appeal to women). I don't think TLK will do too bad, but I see it finishing below both Aladdin and BATB in the $50-60 territory or so.
