Captain Craig
I was hoping for better from Abe. Went and saw Prometheus for a second time with some friends who missed last weekend. I still have questions but appreciated it more the second time. A few flaws aside.

jse
I have no problems with BOM not including that extra $3.3m with Spider-Man, because there's no way in hell it would have made that much more without the double feature re-release.I think Brave's helping TA maxes out at about 1.4M for the wkend. I figure that's about how much TA helped JC when they were double featured together.

Rthmessiah
Majority down more than sunday est, Sunday looking like Brave 17.9, MAD3 5.6, ALVH 4.3, Prom 3, TMB 2.3, ROA 2, SWATH 2.9, TA 1.9, MIB3 1.6, SF 1m
Totem
Madagascar might just be able to pass 200m with another good weekend hold.
Olive
so Brave opened around 66M.

TLK
Majority down more than sunday est, Sunday looking like Brave 17.9, MAD3 5.6, ALVH 4.3, Prom 3, TMB 2.3, ROA 2, SWATH 2.9, TA 1.9, MIB3 1.6, SF 1mI think there is a typo in that SWATH number. It can't be 2.9 million. Good number for Brave even if the Sunday drop is a little bit more than estimated.
lab276
Why do they keep overestimating the Sunday holds for the animated films? Surely they'd know by now.
kayumanggi
So BRAVE dropped bigger than WALL-E on Sunday? Hmm.

whoot
Is this a WOM thing or just a typical Sunday overestimation for animation? Guess we'll see next weekend...
lilmac
TDKR probably more so than TASM will determine if $620m is going to happen. It'll be close.
Ozymandias
When your not looking for the ALIEN Connection in this, it probably is a little better expectation wise.. Problem was the Editing in this movie sucked and it moved from 1 scene to the next to quickly without any rhyme or reason.. I think thats the biggest problem some Alien fans are having. They're still seeing this as an Alien prequel when its not(unless connected by sequels) and trying to shoehorn Alien connections/mythology to it. And wtf do you mean jumping from scene to scene with no rhyme or reason? I saw it 3 times and Its very easy to follow if you're not foaming at the mouth the whole time for xenomorphs offing people with their face-dicks. The story isn't a straight arrow like Alien/Aliens. Its structured very differently with quite a few loops(which I can tell a LOT of people missed, and I'm not talking about the unanswered questions.) riczhang
Jesus christ @ To Rome with LoveWas it really a surprise? Most high profile limited release art house movies do roughly around this range.
lilmac
There's just something more graceful about archery as opposed to guns. I guess it would be the weapon of choice for those who don't really want to be in combat. We'd have to find someone who has been shot by both an arrow and bullet. lilmac
Congrats to Pixar and the Brave team. Very good movie. The Sunday drop is just fine. Wall-E did a little better but didn't have another animated film grossing $20m+ that same weekend. I'd be surprised if didn't reach Wall-E's $223m and $250m is definitely possible. Stop spazzing.
