While I have to disagree with 75live (the time travel element is in fact rather weak) I tend to agree with the overall "what an enjoyable film"-opinion. If you have two hours of free time you don't know what to do with, there cannot be many better ways to spend them than watch BTTF. Rewatchability is simply superb!The sequels were not bad either but couldn't reach the levels of BTTF.

A Great Film!I love the storyline. I find it really smart in how it's presented. Seeing the differences between the 50's and 80's was great. Christopher Lloyd deserves credit for a fantastic performance as Doc Brown, his character really leads to the emotional moments in the film.

I remember my friends coming back from the theater and they were trying to describe it -- "there's like this time machine but it's a car and there are flames in the car tracks...." -- it sounded awesome but I was totally confused.

 

Then I went and watched it and confirmed, yes, it was awesome.

What I love is how tight this script is. I would have cut out one scene, but I completely understand why they left that scene in there (it's pleasing to the target demographic). Otherwise, this script is insanely good, clever, and just beautiful. When you compare it to the CGI blockbusters that are released today, you realize that this film is not appreciated because it's older, but because it's made better. The script, direction, acting, and characterization (for the most part) are fantastic! You can tell the filmmakers actually tried here!

This is easily one of the greatest movies of all-time! Not only that, but one of my favorites!

 

Such a great story and it is full of great performances. I think it is one of the few perfect movies!
