DAR
I pick the Coen's as the best director(s) working today. And this is without seeing Inside Llewyn Davis yet
CoolioD1
Coens or PTA for me. Tough choice. Marty is obviously up there, as well as Spike Jonze and QT.
Michael Gary Scott
Tarrantino for me many will disagree with this but he has yet to make a bad movie.

TLK
$35k Friday PTA from six theaters is very impressive and I don't see why this should open below $20 million and make less than $100 million DOM. This has everything going for it and barring a really bad reception from the GA this should be the biggest DOR movie ever DOM and overseas.
TLK
Rth is saying $300k Saturday. It should make $200k on Sunday as well so around $700k ($115k+ PTA) is happening for sure. $750k is possible with slightly better Saturday and a good Sunday hold. DeeCee
Fantastic film. Everyone is great and it's quiet funny at times. Just be aware the opening scene is a little bit disturbing.According to Rth it could be #1 in Australia this weekend. Hatebox
The film looks fun and I like the cast but I can't help but feel it must have been quite a weak year for movies if this is the pervading awards contender.
Leyla
Congrats to the film xhibitor Relations @ERCboxoffice 9m David O. Russell's AMERICAN HUSTLE hit the streets with $690k in just six theaters--a scintillating $115k per.

Eh, I think the movie just really is that good. I mean Silver Linings Playbook was a top awards contender last year, and I'd rank this above that.
