The only thing that can save WB is a Harry Potter sequel starring the original cast of kids.

Seriously. Not joking.

That’s 1 successful movie every 24 months. Not gonna do much. They need to expand the IP to series and animation , but highly unlikely now

Same. Since that comment I sadly accepted it was the end, at least we had it back for a period of time.

Any DC cartoon (DC Super Hero Girls, Harley Quinn, Young Justice) not Teen Titans Go! I suspect will not get renewed.

It depends on the ratings they are getting.

Money is going to be  tight at Warners and a lot of shows that might have squeaked by with borderline ratings in the past will get the ax now.

Young Justice was in trouble already either way, last season had no promo, they just dropped it to die and let alone that half of the season was a powerpoint presentation.

Season 4 was actually their most-watched season ever, according to Greg Weisman. Just being on HBO Max gave them a bigger audience than they ever had on Cartoon Network/DC Universe.

A sequel to film that cost 55 Million and made over a Billion is a no brainer if ever there was one.

What studio exec would not like a direcotr like that?

Holy heck, I had no idea that Joker made over a billion. That's insane. (I haven't followed box office too much ever since Mojo's redesign)

The Cry Macho situation was because it lost money and Zaslav simply asked why WB greenlit a movie execs knew wouldn't be profitable. If a movie is greenlit and is a flop despite all efforts then that's different.

Clint Eastwood has an amazing track record so greenlighting Cry Macho should not have been seen as a error. It just released in a tough climate

WB employees gave a perfectly reasonable answer for why they greenlit Cry Macho, and Zaslav’s response was essentially that WB doesn’t owe their talent anything, even if the talent is someone like Clint Eastwood, who consistently gets movies finished on time and under budget. That suggests that the man really has no clue how Hollywood works. If you can’t maintain good working relations with your talent, no one is going to want to work with you.

What if the company goes under, if Zaslav doesn't make these cancellation?

How about $100 million dollar superhero movies, whose ad campaign and theatre release will cost more than the filming budget?

The Batgirl movie didn’t fall into that category, if that’s what you’re getting at. If the rumors are true, Zaslav sounds like he’s way in over his head when it comes to DC.
