I guess depending on how much time it'll spend in post-production the release date could be anywhere between mid-2017 and mid-2018. Either way I'm pretty stoked.

I've gone from being dismayed to being curious. The director has made good movies, and Gosling's a fine actor. LOL at Ford returning given how much he claimed to dislike the original, but I guess he's enjoyed riding on the coattails of former glories recently.

BR + Villeneuve + Deakins sounds just amazing. Also Green is a highly-rated writer (even if his credits look bad) so I'm very curious.

A handful of movies have made money in January in recent years that weren't December holdovers. There does tend to be a movie or two with potential now despite the rest of the month being a sea of dumps.

I'm fine with the release date. After Deadpool studios should realise that 'off seasons' are an increasingly archaic concept.
