pre-sales are pretty much useless to look IMO. All it matters is how many shows it will get and what is ticket prices. It will eventually get 65-75% occupancy.

The initial show count is 38% and ATP is 48. Guess final should go around 35% show i.e. around 190K shows. That means capacity of 26M admits Approx. 

 

With 46 ATP collections at

50% = 598M or $94M

60% = 717M or $111M

70% = 837M or $128M 

 

CNY OD Winners over the years

2019 - Crazy Alien 61% occupancy on 106K shows grossed 410M (45.5 ATP)

2018 - Monster Hunt 2  73% occupancy on 140K shows grossed 547M (38.5 ATP)

2017 - Journey to West 57% occupancy on 107K shows grossed 355M (39.6 ATP)

Are you maybe looking at total (all movies) PS for OD? I only see 69M total for DC3

No seriously, if Endgame wasn't able to beat IW pre-sales, that would have been FLOP.

DC3 - ¥59.55M on 80456 shows

MH2 - ¥75.36M on 74309 shows

 

Yeah Yeah I said PS don't matter, but that's when they are record breaking. If they aren't they are A BIT concerning.

Not yet. $205M so far.

 

Edit: BoP on Mojo is $202M. So it has crossed. Donno if , $202M is correct because reporting in 2020 was iffy.

That said, 200k shows needed for DC3 in that case. 50% full occupancy. 😶

Soul has now beaten Croods for 2nd place 2020 HW and beaten Incredibles 2 for 2nd place Pixar. Final milestone of the run here, though I guess it will also pass 10.0x multi this weekend. Not really a full breakout, but very nice little run considering how it started .

Usually CNY means end of run. Haven't seen any film continue its run post CNY. So unlikely.

 

Unless ofcourse Post-Covid due to lack of films they let it.
