It’s still unusually large drops, but there’s plenty of potential to possibly recover come the weekend. a2k
Maoyan is projecting 930 / $138.5 total but their forecast been decreasing daily. I think it's aiming for 905 / $135 total

Cooper Legion
Same Maoyan as AM&TW. Makes AM&TW’s OW in first 2 days. Finishing <10% above. At least this will all be washed away in like 6 weeks when Endgame PS begin

Many here (including me) are on the edge of their seats if IW will cross $200M OW. Lol. That one also seems to be pre-sales heavy. What's with MCU movies and their pre-sales heavy nature these days? pepsa
IW was presale heavy but didnt have those super massive drops on monday tuesday en wednesday. This does suck, I would have been happy with just 1.7 multi. But in Europe it does seem to hold better.

China is gone but weekends may save CM in SK again. I don't know if Italy is redeemable. Edited March 13, 2019 by UserHN

Before we know it, Chinese theaters are just gonna drop it in favor of Green Book. Well it is already happening. Every day CM is losing screens while Green Book gains some of them back. I wonder if GB will ever catch up (in dailies, not total). That 9.6 effect. Edited March 13, 2019 by MrGlass2

It is really ironic that an Oscars Best Picture winner is being loved more internationally than in the US where it is controversial among many in Hollywood. And its success overseas should encourage filmmakers. The funny thing is that fans of particular big brands get upset when their beloved films have ugly drops and claim that Chinese audiences have no/bad taste, but time and time again we see great films like Green Book, Coco and Interstellar thriving in a so-called "tasteless" market. 5

I'm not going to argue this must be a huge success, but early reactions look really positive. I said the family elements, which can always help Chinese audience to get emotional(Furious, Coco, Ant-Man movies), make me feel optimistic. 3
