Well, Depp's Hatter still comes off like a trying-too-hard nuisance. But fortunately i really liked everything else about the trailer. Definitely don't get the sense they're just going for more of the same (aside from Depp).

There are some people who would think Alice 2 would drop "Narnia 2" style.....well, it can be possible....but i don't see it dropping exactly to those numbers.

 

Prince Caspian made $141M DOM & $419M WW.....no way Alice 2 drops to those numbers. Maximum....i can see $200-220M DOM & $700-770M WW. Mostly due to China. And if people find it better than the first one....very good to ya.

 

Which is still a big hit for Disney.

She was THE main character, the main star of the first one, right? That's why it's called "Alice in Wonderland".

Depp was the "break out character" as well as the one the marketing focused on. Plus, Depp is a much bigger name than Mia.
