Once Frozen Passes Inception's 292 million it becomes the highest grossing fully original movie since Avatar

 

And once it passes Up's $293m, it'll be the highest grossing non-sequel animation since Finding Nemo.

If it gets close to or just over 390M, I fully expect Disney to re-release to get it over 400M then.

It could get as high as $390-400m, but with the holidays ending in the next few days, I think it ultimately lands closer to $360m.

FYI, up here in the Minnesota Frozen Tundra our kids in my town are back in school today.  So there are certainly some schools getting back in session today.

DoS has put up good numbers.

AUJ's mon + tue + wed = 20.7m (64.7% of it's 3rd weekend, 56% of 2nd weekend, 24.5% of ow)

DoS's mon + tue + wed = 19.8m (68.3% of it's 3rd weekend, 62.8% of 2nd weekend, 26.5% of ow)

 

DoS's thu will be higher than AUJ even with a 50% drop, so has had a good hold during holidays

Frozen will be highest grossing original animation in it's first run. Passing Nemo's entire total is possible but TLk is too far out but what this Frozen run has taught us if anything is never underestimate it. I think it finishes around 370-375M but more won't shock me.

Families are less likely to brave the snow to see a movie so major winter storms in the Philly/New York City/Boston corridor may hurt Frozen more than Paranormal Activity this weekend.  Kinda ironic.
