Considering a $40m weekend for 600 and a $29m weekend for Peabody, I could definitely see Peabody winning the weekend, considering the low buzz for either of next weekend's openers.

600 lol. So is 900 happening?

Eva Green is fantastic in 300: ROAE! I hope she can get meatier roles after all the raves from critics ;)

I'm glad to here. I love me some Eva.Looking forward to this now, sounds like a proper sequel, not the low rent DTV sequel I was kinda expecting.

LOL.  Yeah, the auteurs are gonna be lining up for Eva Green after hamming it up in a highly stylized romp fest that is solely riding off the coattails of its predecessor.

I don't think shes a bad actress,  but Eva Green's problem is either her agent or her own decision making... everything shes been in after Kingdom of Heaven DC and Casino Royale has been horrible shit.

Respectable opening for 300, nobody expected nothing from this two months ago. With 40m OW, it should pass Wrath of the Titans and Immortals easily. It's also doing great OS, so +350 WW on a 100 budget sounds very good to me.

Peabody should top 115-120 with that opening, not horrible. It needs 200 OS to not be considered a fail.

Veronica Mars will come out of nowhere and crush the competition, and with just a few hundred theaters. :P:lol:

If only there was some scenario where that was even a remote possibility of that happening. B)

Mostly. Granted, she's the primary reason I find Dark Shadows quite watchable.I also quite enjoyed her performance in The Dreamers...ah hem.
