After what Ritchie did with Sherlock Holmes,I never had much hope for this film. Ritchie is good at modern crime thrillers, but is pretty bad at period films.

I like Guy Ritchie when he does comtemporary crime movies, but I was not impressed with his Sherlock Holmes movies, and if he can't get the Victorian age right he sure as hell will not get the Dark Ages right. Wrong director for this project,and the cast does not exactly impress me as being right either.

 

I will watch Boorman's Excalibur again instead.

And SIX sequels in the works?????

Someone is sure as hell counting their chickens before they hatched.
