MinaTakla
To be honest, I expected this movie to make much more than Minions WW.. If you had told me that Minions may end up making more than this film (marketed as Avengers 2.5), I would have called u crazy! ProtoMan
3 hours ago, John Marston said: without Robert Downey, Civil War wouldn't have sniffed 1 billion I think that was the whole point of casting him. Downey got $40M and I believe a bonus if the movie surpassed the Winter Solider. The movie in my opinion would not have surpassed $800M WW without Iron Man or the Avengers. Cap is not that popular of character internationally. Edited June 5, 2016 by ProtoMan
Quigley
There is a chance it will end up below Minions WW I think...

Olive
Only 1.2M OS weekend, maybe another 3-4M from OS. 4.3M DOM weekend, 10-12M left.
MattW
Overseas minus China (using Mojo's $189.38m): May 22: 529.2 May 29: 544.5 (+15.3) Jun 5: 553.2 (+8.7) Jun 12: 556.1 (+2.9) Pretty hefty drop from last week.

MattW
The various box office sites had Cap3's OS total at 742.6 on June 5th, and 745.5 on June 12th. Now June 19th it's at 743.657 which is a more precise number than previous reports and I believe represents more accurate information meaning drops have been bigger than we thought they were. So I don't think it'll hit 750m overseas. 7th weekend domestic is $120k ahead of Iron Man 3's 8th weekend, IM3 did another $6m after that weekend, so I think Cap3 does another $7m from here ending at 408-409m domestic. 409 + 749 = 1158

movieboner
The world hates America, so better not have it in the title lol. That's a drawback for Captain America films. The only exception is China because they love love superhero films.

peludo
The feeling of animadversion towards USA was way bigger with Bush. Since Obama is president, that feeling has obviously decreased (the statistics of @Fullbuster are very clear in that sense). Said this, that feeling will always exist. To be the most powerful country in the world generates this kind of reactions.
