CJohn
Shiiiiiit. That is a pretty bad drop for Compton considering it dropped on Tuesday.

TalismanRing
Shiiiiiit. That is a pretty bad drop for Compton considering it dropped on Tuesday. Looks like maybe Monday was so high because of spillover from the w/e and it fits with Sunday being down just 10%. It's first Wed is about the same as MI:5s $5.2m and that still did $28m it's second w/e.
Mojoguy
Compton acting like it is going to be very frontloaded. Not surprising.
Mattrek
I guess Monday was spillover from Sunday. Probably a 60% drop this weekend. Edited August 20, 2015 by Mattrek Loves Del Toro
Fake
MI5 just 40% down from last Wednesday..... could we see another sub-40% drop this weekend? That would bring MI's gross well within reach.
FilmBuff
Straight crumbling!
Guerilla713
There are a lot of reasons why Compton dropped. You have to remember, MI5 first Wednesday was still in the middle of summer, so it having about the same number as Compton bodes well for SOC (not to mention the difference in rating). A lot of the audience for Compton is college kids and this week a lot of people are leaving home and moving into dorms, at least where I live (Texas). I don't see how Compton is crumbling. This weekend it'll debut at #1 with at least 22M, especially with the additional theaters. I know of a few people that plan on seeing it this weekend once the work week is done.
MinaTakla
Compton's BO performance will be like that of Minions IMO First weekend HUGE and great Mon and Tues weekdays due to spillover Second weekend 56% drop or so (which shows front loadedness) Third weekend: softer drop around 40s Then late legs will be great (which shows all that talk about crumbling won't be true for both films)
TLK
The spillover was due to low theater count. I think it will drop 55% this week and then stabilize.
The Dark Alfred
Wrong. It's one of the best films of the summer. Miles better than AoU.

Andy001
Compton hype is dying fast? Can MI5 hit $190M? Leg it out to $200M ? Compare to 22 Jump st, mi 5 should do around that mark. $188 - 195 I'd say.
The Dark Alfred
Paramount will push it above 200m if it gets close to it. It's yet to come out in Puerto Rico lol
baumer
Compton is going to make a minimum of 130 and probably a lot more. Who thought that at the beginning of the summer?
wildphantom
I still can't see how MI5 can quite get to $200 million. $190 possibly. Unless it has an absurdly small drop this weekend
Wrath
Compton's a little less frontloaded than 8 Mile or Notorious so far.
