I just watched Ocean’s Eleven for the first time in ages. 

 

Damn, it’s a lot of fun.

I remember going to see Oceans Eleven with my Mum but I haven’t seen it since.

 

This is a great cast.

I'm sold.  The trailer is terrific.  Love seeing the cast all together.

The winning cast is enough to make me interested in seeing the film. I am curious what role each member of the crew will play in the heist, which refreshingly is not a casino or bank robbery. If it is funny, this film should do well next summer.

not feeling this trailer.  Low energy as said above is pretty accurate.  The trailer doesn't have much going for it or any hook, or anything really.  I only care for about 3 of the cast so that doesn't draw me in either.

 

I'll probably wind up seeing it, but this trailer didn't get me hyped for it or anything

Already sold on Bullock alone. But Cate Blanchett and Helena Boham Carter sealed it. 

 

Trailer did enough to sell the movie to me.

Sign me up. This looks awesome - like it will be a whole lotta fun with a great cast. We only see snippets in the trailer of the actual heist, and they have me excited to see this wicked cast do cool/fun things.

Fashion Show?  Fashion.  Show.  It's the MET GALA.  It's THE event of the fashion season, and the biggest fundraiser for the Met Museum.  If you doubt the gravitas and grandeur of the Met Gala, I would suggest watching fabulously extra documentary "The First Monday in May" (available on Netflix).  The casino heist has been done.  This is fun AND glamorous.

 

(Though I can't figure out the theme of the fake Gala.  It looks 18th Century French?)

So the Ocean's 8 trailer has a huge percentage of dislikes and there's literally nothing wrong with the quality of the trailer.

Its like Ghostbusters 2016 - you shoudnt generalize the people who dislike the trailer. Some of them are trolls, yes. But others just dont see the point in this movie.

Was he hating the early 2000s Clooney-Pitt remake as much as this new 2018 remake ? If he treated both remake as harshly because he is a big fan of the legendary original and is legendary cast it is one thing, if not it is a bit suspicious.

That is true, but no one has any issue with someone disliking the trailer, it is only and 100% only about those making a big deal out of a trailer, downvoting it, going around complaining about it, etc...

We both like the 1960 film, though we enjoy the 2001 remake a lot more. Oceans 12 not so much, Oceans 13 is alright.

 

Oceans 11 was one of these movies that he used to watch 20 times a year. He feels somewhat nostalgic about it, so maybe thats why his hate for this new movie is strong

I didn't say everyone who disliked the trailer was some kind of small minded misogynist.

 

but 32% is insane.

 

Most trailers get 5 to 10 percent dislikes.

 

The least popular trailers like Star Trek Beyond and Amazing Spider-man get 26% at the very worst.
