I like the film but you can tell the budget is "small", it's really small scale, which is why it works well actually.

To me and you yes but to the average movie goer it doesn't look "small." You can't deny that they did a lot with what they were given and that starts with the director of the film. Besides a small budget will always work for Deadpool because his character is never going to need everything that other super hero movies have.

Wow, that's cheap. 3D is a $3 upcharge at most theaters in the US but for some it can go up to $4.

Well, not that cheap considering 15-16 years ago the average ticket price was 0.1$ or even less. :lol:But yeah, compared to the insane prices in US, UK and Australia, it is cheap. Usually a 2D ticket is around $5.

& got $202m the entire rest of its run.

Every Memorial Day release does that but there is precedent and honesty from a series standpoint not quality this is starting to remind me of transformers and first movie loved by fans mixed by critics and a sequel that's bigger is more hated by critics, though not to an extent for bvs, but the fan reactions are generally postive

The director of IM1 gave us IM2.
The director of The Incredibles gave us Tomorrowloand.

The director of TA gave us AOU.

The director of SM1/SM2 gave us SM3.

The director of Casino Royale gave us Green Lantern!

The director of TDK & Inception gave us Interstellar  (well, I liked it...but still)

It's tough to say 'get director XYZ to direct the movie and everything will be fine.'

All their first entries were awesome.

So at least we'd get one great Justice League film.

Between the two theaters in my town the show times for tonight are 3/24 in terms of being sold out for Thursday night showings and none sold out for the weekend.

Well this will be dogpiled by pages beyond pages beyond pages beyond my own imagination by the time I wake up in eight hours for work so I'll just predict that the actuals for the OW will be 145 mil.

There's a poisonous vibe to the whole thing that smells of almost immediate disaster. It'll tank from there. Less than 400 mil DOM.

(is swallowed)

If you're predicting $145m weekend, I think it will struggle to get past $300m. 2 to 2.1 multiplier is very much in play given the negativity surrounding the film, the holiday-inflated weekend gross, and the fact the Thursday preview number should be pretty huge. Those things all make a recipe for bad legs.

With 2.21x (ASM2) it needs a 181m ow to reach 400m. Man oh man. If it comes below 400m I will shed a tear legit.

Hmmm... Looking at this, I am thinking maybe Michael Bay should do a Reboot of BvS for Warner. Featuring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. 250 Million ow confirmed.
