Well Hindsight is always 20/20 but Jurassic World was truly a 4 Quadrant movie that attracted people from all ages that don't go often to the movies and they were nostalgic of the first film and JW played that nostalgia card beautifully.

JW was a MONSTER whose at least half audience wasn't fanboy driven.

 

There aren't many subject matters that are as intriguing and universal as dinosaurs, the dead animals that ruled the Earth before mankind.

It will be beautiful to see FOX trying and failing this Summer with ID2.

 

Doesn't matter tho, I will get Emmerich sucking entire cities into the skies and dropping them on top of other cities (lmao, I never expected to wrote something like this, Emmerich, his powah).

I do not think its needed, if they make a film as Good as CA2, it will carry it self to a large gross.

 

I think 900-1 billion is the target WW for now.

B, focus on "it could". My point is think of The Avengers. Do you really believe it'd gross what it did without being a good film? Let's go back to TDK. Do you think that would gross what it did being a film that was trashed like this one did? The biggest rotten film box office wise is DMC, and that came as a sequel of a film that was greatly received by critics and public. I don't know why we are even arguing that this film is opening a lot under what possibly would in the right circumstances. The fact it's opening this big is just one proof of that imho.

You can't expect BVS to do $200m+ Opening weekend and not Civil War. 

 

The last marvel film with those characters did $1.4bn worldwide. BVS added Batman, This one adds Spider Man.  MOS did 650m worldwide.

 

This is just DC bashing. BVS has to open to $200m but Civil War doesn't??? Nice try.

Pretty sure I remember many people complaining about the ending of the trailer teasing the exact same final act has the first Avengers had.
