Truly despicable move by Cinemark.

I'm not sure if it will affect box office. Unless it becomes some huge national campaign.

Unless it makes humongous headlines, which I kinda doubt, then no. Besides, there's still Regal and AMC.

How is there a law suit against a theater chain? Wtf were they supposed to do to prevent a guy from shooting up the theater?

This is somehow Dory's fault.

We will have to wait for PETS to take the top movie of the weekend crown from DORY...

Purge 3 could do it with a $17 million+ OD.

Both will be fighting for #1 this weekend. They could very well finish within $1m of one another.

Pets is locked to do it (since Dory won't do $35 million+ next weekend), but Purge 3 could upset.

A guy in a California theater is in critical condition because while watching The Shallows he was stabbed by a homeless man with a butcher knife several times.

This is more complicated than it seems, but Cinemark should really pay those legal fees. It's an awful look and is really quite petty.

Please Dory save this weekend

Purge 3 is on pace for a possibly $40 million+ 4-day, so that should help.

July 2016 might get on a roll: Purge 3 $80 million+, Pets $270 million+, Ghostbusters $130 million+, Star Trek 3 $160 million+, Ice Age 5 $110 million+, Bourne 5 $200 million+, Bad Moms $70 million+

June was so barren that I could see July and the first half of August doing better than expected.

Yeah, $1m is nothing to Cinemark. Forcing the victims to pay is terrible PR!

I saw the first purge, and it had a nice concept, but the movie just turned into a generic home invasion thriller. Completely shitting all over an inventive concept. Purge Anarchy seemed like the movie 'we wanted,' but I just couldn't get into it after a disappointing first one.
