She should just keep cranking those out. Not much to do with Disappointments Room release is her fault. The trailer came out 3 weeks ago and there was no press. Looks terrible anyway. Plus, isn't she likely to get nominated for some awards for Love and Friendship? I think that's still the best reviewed summer movie this year? baumer
Sully isn't doing 34 from a 12 Friday. Best case would be 12.2 13.5 7.5 33.2.....and that's absolute best. With 1.3 from previews wouldn't the Saturday be smaller? I'm thinking closer to 32. And that's a terrific opening.

DAJK
Very pleased with Sully. Sure hope this is a sign of things to come. Seeing it tomorrow! Also I decided to watch about 5 minutes of Wild Life while on my break. While it was only a 5 minute clip, I can say it was certainly better than Norm of the North (which isn't saying much). The animation is choppy the voice dialogue is lame but nothing was in your face bad, and the film on this island had a bit of a "homey" feel. Not sure how to explain it. Definitely not good, but I didn't think I wasted those 5 minutes

a2k
Black Mass, R-rated - unlike Sully - but like Sully a biographical movie in September starring a major actor with similar previews, 1.40 + 7.37 + 8.77 (+19%) + 5.1 (-42%) = 22.64 If Sully follows the same pattern on Sat and Sun after a 12.2 Friday, 1.35 + 10.85 + 12.91 (+19%) + 7.5 (-42%) = 32.61 That's the low-end IMO. Sully already has way less front-loaded OD and it could do better than Black Mass on Saturday due to it's PG-13 rating. 1.35 + 10.85 + 13.56 (+25%) + 8.14 (-40%) = 33.9 Either way, it now needs less than 3x to get to 100 dom. So should make it there. Another low-budget grosser reaching that mark for WB after CI and CONJ2. If Sully does 34 ow and 3.25x for 110.5 dom, then CI + CONJ2 + Sully will have a combined budget of 50 + 40 + 60 = 150 and dom of 127.5 + 102.5 + 110.5 = 340.5 Edited September 10, 2016 by a2knet
