What pissed me off about the one with Freddie Highmore is that the chocolate looked and sounded good, but they never sold SHIT.

Seems possible. And this shouldn’t be a thing to break or make movies, but these days with so expensive tickets, it is. 
 

The industry is already suffering, but the lack of consistency of the movies are also responsible for some of the dreadful results we’re seeing. 
 

But let’s see, maybe it’s just another overreaction from him, wouldn’t be the first time. It would be a huge miscalculation from WB if it ended up badly received, considering the reactions is confirmed to drop 20 days before release and reviews 12 days before.

Yeah Ruimy is not somebody we should trust here. He seems like someone who likes to stir the pot and he  said he talked to 3 critic friends of his. Hardly a consensus. Could turn out to be true but that would mean a huge miscalculation on WB's part if true like you said.

The review embargo is early. They seem to be going all out on marketing. I'd bet on at least decent reviews, even if not raves.
