With all due respect, this didn't have anything to do with any staff member other than myself, and the sum total of the exchange was a few posts exchanged in this thread and a couple of PMs afterwards.

That used to be the case, which is why the "No derailments" rule came into effect. Off topic is allowed for a while but never at the expense of actual numbers.  

 

The classic conversation thread is pretty much the main off topic thread now. If you want to see real derailments and off topic discussions, check out weekend threads from 2013 or 2014, especially the Catching Fire weekend thread which is a classic.

We do offer a lot of leeway in the bigger weekend threads, because that's what the majority of people asked for. It's got to get pretty bad for us to crack down on derailments alone, and honestly weekend suspensions almost always happen because of angry fan wars, not stuff like derailing.

Are you sure that this for the same role the other actresses were considered? The film could have 2 important female characters. But I am glad she got this part, I have always been a fan. I do not know if people get that Daenerys is suopposed to be acting a role of Queen in the show in a way so that is why she isn't natural always.

 

I will to to the correct thread too, probably tomorrow however, its pretty late.

Well, maybe you'd like to read that exchange again, as there was indeed another person, who had to say something.

But this is not the right place to discuss and it doesn't matter anyway, because it never changed anything in the past. 
Make room for some Fantastic Beasts. Or go after them again, that would be more in style of this place.
