Moana's U.K performance has been quite staggering where the film opened to $2.7 million and has grossed $21 million to date which is around a 7.77x multiplier, Moana also opened to $2.8 million in Mexico and has grossed $12 million to date which is a 4.2x multiplier, and Moana has additionally posted a 10x multiplier or higher in Germany, Spain, and Italy.  The consensus seems to be that Moana will open small and leg its way to a respectable if not great gross.  Japan and a few other territories wait in the wings so let's see if the film can get past BH6 worldwide.

Audience info for Hidden Figures (per Hollywood Reporter):

Hidden Figures played to a diverse audience; 43 percent of ticket buyers were Caucasian and 37 percent, African-American. It over-indexed in every part of the country save for the Rocky Mountain states. Like other movies, Hidden Figures was impacted by a major winter storm in the Southeast and Northeast but box-office observers don't believe the damage was too great even with some theater closures on Friday and Saturday. Females made up 64 percent of Hidden Figures' audience, while 56 percent of all ticket buyers were 35 or older.

In the case of Moana in the U.K., it faced Fantastic Beasts which was still going strong but it had the advantage there was no real family competition as Sing isn't out in the UK until the end of the month and the others Monster Trucks and Ballerina barely made a dent

TDK summer dailies should pull away.

Even $540m off a near $21-22m w/e mean it needs near 4x legs from this w/e on out.

From it's fourth week onwards, TDK is already in mid to late August, those are pretty much the dog days of Summer.

TFA managed over 4x this weekend with stronger January competion (Revenant, KFP3) so I think RO will go well past that as well.

What other territories outside of Japan are there left for Moana to open? Brazil?

I do not know about the other titles named, but it got repeatedly pointed out (UK and other countries) about no advertising seen.

That is more than substantial. And I was wondering why its OS numbers were so low.

How LBJ was presented in Selma was criticized heavily and DuVerney even said that she deliberately made a change to give MLK an antagonist and that her perspective overrides historical fact or something. So, yes, there is a documented problem with twisting LBJ into something that he was not.

Either way, people will not see movies that are deliberate agenda. People saw Djnago unchained because it didn't strike them as agenda, and it got the point across much better than boring af torture porn 12YS. Oh, and if Germans are sick of being reminded of WW2 they are not the only ones. Holocaust movies are bombing everywhere. What was the last one that did well, Inglorious Bastards? Because it wasn't another guilt-tripping crap. 12YS is guilt-tripping crap and people who have nothing to do with slavery and don't care for that historical period refuse to be guilt tripped. There. Bombs away!

The rise of the alt reich globally is proof that, if anything, MORE people should be watching Schindler's List on a regular basis.

And did you just call 12 Years A Slave torture porn? So everyone should sugarcoat American slavery and/or forget it happened? Why?

If people only want to see slavery in a playful popcorn movie (Django) rather than an accurate portayal then we need some deep reflection as a society.
