But still a good drop and i think it will find good legs since it doesn't have real competition until pirates 5. I'm expecting $ 450 - 470m OS and $ 360 - 380m in USA. WW between $ 810 - 850m.

bruchav
$1 bi worldwide dream is over. I hope that at least people have more realistic predictions now, most were saying that the movie would reach 1 billion, which was never a realistic prediction (for me). peludo
IMHO, quite predictable run. The drop is not impressive, but not hard either. We already said this last Sunday. This weekend drop is probably bigger than usual because of last weekend holiday. Both lovers and haters can keep playing the game, but at the end the result will be the same. High 400s OS, maybe 500 (result repeated since last Sunday several times), and 800s WW, lower or higher depending on DOM legs.

So, ~56% drop with no big competition. Not good really. The great WOM is not helping it.

That's in line with my anecdotal evidence (people I talked to didn't like the movie).
Barnack
28 minutes ago, alisson23 said: So, ~56% drop with no big competition. That is extremely similar to a movie like Civil War: When comparing territories that opened last weekend to this one, the overall drop-off was 55%: The Marvel mash-up followed last frame’s $200.4M international opening with a second weekend estimate of $217M. The offshore cume is $494M and the global haul is $673.1M with North America getting its first taste this weekend. Significant new markets to enter the picture this session included China, Russia, Italy and Argentina. When comparing territories that opened last weekend to this one, the overall drop-off was 55%. That’s following what was a holiday weekend in many markets last frame. Considering that Guardian 2 took advantage of an holiday weekend and now that the previews inflate the first weekend more and more, it was probably to be expected to have a drop like that.

Mockingjay Raphael
I'm really curious to know if FilmBugg still believe that $550m OS is locked? My $480m prediction of last week seems to be actually optimistic, if it follows the same trajectory of Civil War DOM, it may miss $800m at all. Shocking.
