Thank God now we have the verified metric to compare, looking promising.

How many reviews so far? Difference between total and verified looks like some review bombing going on.

For some other, perhaps less than ideal comps...

For their last half day before stop of tracking:

CM sold   1520 tickets

EG sold    1407 tickets

Solo sold   486 tickets (versus an adj 1593 tickets sold).

DP2 sold  1262 tickets (versus an adj 1593 tickets sold).

IW sold      878 tickets (versus an adj 1593 tickets sold).

And for what they may or may not be worth:

1.0402x Captain Marvel   (21.53m)

0.4118x Endgame            (24.71m)

1.7005x Solo  (adj)           (23.98m)

1.2104x Deadpool 2 (adj) (22.51m)

0.7478x Infinity War (adj) (29.16m) (lol - disregard; theaters were practically maxed out locally)

Check as of two days ago:

Thank you to all of you for all the tracking information. This should be very interesting, as TLK is the first blockbuster that BOT members tracked all their own. Good old fashioned hard work usually pays off. No Pulse and no MT for guidance. I’m excited for you guys.

Alright, some quick thoughts.

It is possible Sacramento is underperforming slightly and/or it's also possible that both Aladdin and TS4 over-performed, thus dragging down the ratio (Pika PIka has its own set of problems being a 4pm start with previews).

And I did see even more of an uptick of sales in the 9pm window.  But gotta go where the data leads me, so locally at least Sacramento is suggesting a flat 20m in previews.  Let's say an error bar of +/- .4m to that.  I can see as high as 20.5m.  Also can see as low as 19.5m.

Problem for me is, there are a LOT of seats left in the 9pm and later window.  And while another film with a shit-ton of shows locally (CM) suggests 21.5m, I have to think more kids tickets will be purchased for TLK than CM.

Anywho, if it's a lot higher than 20.5, say closer to the JW:FK comp of 24m, then it's very probable that far fewer children tickets were purchased for TLK than for Pika Pika, Aladdin, or TS4.  Why that would be beats me though.

Find out soon enough. :)

Avengers: Endgame -- 2nd Friday -- Status as of Thursday, May 2 @ 8pm CST

TOTALS: 51 show times, 1233 tickets sold out of 5453 available (22.61%)

The Lion King -- 1st Friday -- Status as of Thursday, July 18 @ 830pm CST

TOTALS: 34 show times, 1722 tickets sold out of 4208 available

Notes: Endgame's 2nd Friday was $40.7 million nationally. My theater is running about 40% ahead of that right now. I fully expect TLK to be more walkup heavy tomorrow than Endgame's 2nd Friday was. If I had to make a prediction right now, I'd put my money on true Friday being between $57m - $62m.

Dropped to 91 percent now.  Still only 462 reviews in though.  Also preview night so it might be the the most pre-disposed to liking it.

FWIW, which prob isn't much, Aladdin's verified is 94.

(gonna discount the All Audience one this time around as there is the possibility of review bombing for TLK)

“We’re hearing from non-Disney sources that Jon Favreau’s The Lion King reboot is doing some smashing business tonight with an estimated $22M-$25M off showtimes that largely started at 6PM (there were 5pm select fan screenings). Again with these estimates, sometimes they can fall outside the range we’re hearing from sources, but overall, it’s a great start.“

That would be an amazing start, especially if it comes in towards the higher end of the range. Either way, $200m is firmly in sites and judging from my own anecdotal WOM (friends) it’s going to do just fine with the GA.

okau. So just ls13 and cm for me. HUGE RELIEF!!

I took some screenshots and updated preview a bit. Also some of the dolby shows have gone down a bit. i dont know if A-List customers can cancel bookings. I could see final shows add few more with walk ins. It has done great with walk ins.

Edit: holy crap even 1150PM show added 11 more folks by showtime!!! So its playing way wider than families.
