titanic2187
INCREDIBLES 2 Disney The return of Disney/Pixar’s superhero family had a super start in the UK this weekend with $12.1M to become the 2nd best opening for a Disney Animation/Pixar movie ever behind only Toy Story 3 and the highest Disney Animation/Pixar non-holiday opening. The staggered international release timed the UK to just ahead of summer break. Elsewhere, Poland also delivered the second highest ever Disney Animation/Pixar opening with $1.4M ($1.7M including previews). The full weekend overseas, where there are many markets to come, was worth $33.3M in 43 so far. The offshore cume is $321.1M for $856.9M global. Holds were good in several plays while the sequel has become the highest grossing Pixar release ever in Thailand, joining the rest of South East Asia in setting that record (outside China). It is also the No. 1 Disney Animation/Pixar release of all time in Colombia, Central America, Trinidad and Uruguay as well as the No. 2 Disney Animation/Pixar release of all-time across the Latin America region. The top markets to date are China ($51.5M), Mexico ($36M), Australia ($29.5M), Brazil ($23.1M) and (World Cup champion) France ($17.7M). Next weekend adds Korea and Hong Kong. IW was lucky to be released in April or it wouldn't have crossed 2B. JW might have gotten to the 0.5A with the ER of April (and that one wasn't even good to begin with). I2 is having the same problems.

Omni
So... 1.09B from current markets After that it still has: Japan 1 August 2018 Czech Republic 2 August 2018 Spain 2 August 2018 Slovakia 2 August 2018 Estonia 3 August 2018 Lithuania 3 August 2018 Latvia 3 August 2018 Turkey 22 August 2018 Norway 24 August 2018 Denmark 30 August 2018 Finland 31 August 2018 Sweden 31 August 2018 Italy 19 September 2018 Germany 27 September 2018 1.2B appears to be nearly locked and (unfortunately, I must say) there's still a chance it beats Frozen for the WW animated crown. Japan is the key market, obviously.
Omni
Dory ammassed 155/160M from those remaining markets. That would put I2 at about 1.25B WW. Frozen certainly is far from safe.

Omni
Still not sure. Presales in Japan look strong, but considering the recent weakness of Pixar in that country overtaking Dory is still a "maybe". Also, Germany is slowly but relentlessly becoming some sort of Uzbekistan in terms of box office revenues, and in the good old times it did support Nemo much more than the Incredibles. Let's see. Range is 1.24 to 1.3B. Edit: disappointing OD in Japan, Corpse is projecting a sub-50M finish o_o Edited August 1, 2018 by Omni
