Anyone with absurdly high expectations for IT (I'm talking $80M+ opening or a $40M+ opening day) has no right to complain about whatever it makes when it doesn't meet them. You brought it on yourself.

Uh, we never said we would complain?  This seems a bit premature.

It always happens whenever a movie doesn't reach astronomical predictions that meltdowns from the people who made said overpredictions follow. Always. Goes all the way back.

With some people already claiming the movie will open to $100M+, there's no way that weekend thread will be a pleasant read.

This is the balance of life isn't it? DC is crawling back with WW right after two major letdowns BvS & SS which almost had people believe DC was doomed.

But of cause, DC still has a long way to go before matching Marvel.

I'm not into this comics culture but boxoffice-wise DC does have a long way to go.

Not to mention that they started with the best of what they have (Batman & Superman) and they blew it. They look "kinda" promising now only because of WW.

Isn't The Dark Knight series part of DC? I don't think they blew it with Batman v Superman at all. Those are two enduring heroes that will receive chance after chance just like Spider-Man. I don't hear anyone saying that the Marvel brand was broken because of the ASM series. That's because Spider-Man is timeless. He, like Batman and Superman resonates throughout generations. There will always be room for them.

I didn't say Batman & Superman were killed forever. You can always reboot them right? Hell, WB reboot the Batman character just 4 years after a Batman trilogy that was actually very beloved.

But if you start working on your biggest plan in years by playing the the trump card and yet only to see it become a complete turd, yes you blew it.

I dont think TDK is in the new DC universe. Batman just got rebooted.
