Leap!'s preview showing is performing like shit. Weinstein is pretty much sealing its fate next weekend because theaters will give it one of their smaller or smallest auditorium.

I was a bit surprised it was selling that much; I expected something in the low teens. At least my theater can probably get rid of Emoji next week because it had several showings yesterday that didn't sell any tickets.

Just got a quote than Cinemark has decided to use up a full screen pre-Labor Day week to just show every Marvel universe movie ever made for $5/each.  1st I heard of this was today, but it can't be a worse plan than keeping Nut Job 2...and if it's combinable with Fandango's BOGO code or the MoviePasses show up to folks in time, I could see this being popular...

 

Binge-ing Defenders here and it's already obvious that this series is a 1 arc for once:)...1/2 the shows done yesterday and planning to be done Sunday so all the da&n internet spoiler articles don't spoil it for me (so I'm saving my potential comedy date night for this Tuesday or next:)...

They have tickets up for All Saints, so there's one movie  Both Emoji and Apes had several showings yesterday without any seats sold, so both are prime candidates to go, especially Emoji because Leap! is out next week (or is it?). THB, Annabelle, and LL were the three main sellers last night here; everything else was low-teens or less I think. I just have to hope both AMC and the studios play it smart because some indies need to expand here.
