While im not sold on 55m+ yet don't you hinknthe tracking and high presales points to at least a low 40s opening?

Oh, it'll win the weekend. High 30s/low 40s. I expect this to perform exactly like the original. It does great... on its first day (Thursday night previews and Friday), then stalls after WOM settles in. Pacific Rim would be the film to look at for the most recent example. Tracking shouldn't be taken as the Gospel and pre-sales reports are always overblown.

17m and 66.7m cume leaves Kingsman2 33.2m away from 100m. It should get there or at least get close enough for a push.

It needs to make 1.95x the 2nd weekend more. MAG7 added 2.05x the weekend to it's cume last year.

Actually, we don't have numbers from WB.

Only Deadline's estimates

That makes sense; Deadline is probably smoking it  If It had a 50% increase yesterday, it'd need a drop around 30% today to hit 17.4M

Despicable Me 3 has officially beaten Beauty and the Beast overseas!

MASSIVE achievement for Illumination and Universal who now have the #1 and #2 OS films of the year with Fast 8 and DM3! Wow.

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic:  $262,260,360    25.7%
Foreign:  $760,100,000    74.3%

= Worldwide:  $1,022,360,360

Busting out the Han prediction

It:

1.9M (-74%)

2.5M (+33%)

1.7M (-30%)

1.6M (-5%)

4.2M (+160%)

6.3M (+50%)

3.5M (-45%)

14M Weekend, 53% drop

The loss of large formats might result in substantially better weekday increases/decreases. This is what I think would happen if It jumped 40% today:

1.9M (-74%)

2.7M (+40%)

1.8M (-32%)

1.7M (-5%)

4.4M (+160%)

6.6M (+50%)

3.6M (-45%)

14.6M Weekend, 51% drop

Either way, this probably isn't dropping below 46-47% barring some gigantic anomaly, which is unlikely.

BTW, What movie from WB do you like? In 2017.

It is in my top 10 right now, and I enjoyed Dunkirk quite a bit. Kong and LEGO Batman were fine, disposable films, but I was meh on WW and Annabelle (the latter leans negatively the more I sit with it) and hated The House, Ninjago, and King Arthur; those three are in my bottom ten of the year at the moment.
