Fun fact: I used to go for weekly runs at the Portland park featured in Leave No Trace. The film is so good at capturing the crunchy feel of the rural, heavily-forested parts of Oregon and Washington that I wished I'd smuggled in some granola to munch on while watching it. 😉

Shoplifters and Madeline's Madeline on 23rd of July.

Searching on the 24th.

Leave No Trace (with a Debra Granik Q&A!) and American Animals on the 27th.

Burning on the 28th.

 

Might try catch a couple of more but this seems like a good start. Need to squeeze in The Sequelizer as well.

I've watched at least a movie a week since January 2015 but now I'm like geeze, either I'm running into a string of duds or I need to recharge. I'm gonna work on some Ubuntu server stuff.

 

I think I"ll clear out what's on my harddrive in the coming weeks and finally give it a rest for a bit.

Watched a couple of Ang Lee joints tonight.

 

Sense and Sensibility; it's great! Hugh Laurie was my MVP cause he cracked me up nearly every time he popped up on screen but gotta give credit to Emma Thompson. She's stupid talented. Lovely landscapes too.
