My local cinema projected The Favourite at the wrong aspect ratio. That makes three times in the last two years that they've ran a 1.85:1 movie in scope (the other two were A Cure for Wellness and Won't You Be My Neighbor?). Because when I see a movie whose cinematography is Oscar-nominated, I definitely want to be missing the information at the top and bottom of the screen.

On the bright side, however, listening to the audience reactions throughout was almost as funny as the dialogue in the movie itself. This was definitely a crowd that went in expecting something akin to the Downton Abbey trailer that ran beforehand and got something way weirder and randier - and boy did at least half of them look and sound like they had no idea what to do with it when the end credits started up.

Best part about my experience was hearing a nearly sold out auditorium made up of mostly people 50 and older freaking out whenever

Spoiler

Stone nearly crushed that poor little rabbit with her foot at the end. Those squeals were excruciating.

I might be seeing Serenity tomorrow before the SAG awards and I'm sure it'll be in a theater where most of the audience is seniors. Excited to see their reactions to that WTF twist ending.

I went to go car shopping with my parents today... I researched a perfectly reasonable 2017 Lexus 200NX for around 35k...

Dad sees the Lexus RX350 and buys it for 52k and way out of budget...

Yep facepalm lol

Welcome to the semi-indian world.  At least your mum is not expecting this:

Honestly this is my favorite scene, Jared Harris is a treasure:

Best scene in that whole movie for me was when he was throwing those cats out the window of the burning building (with a dog catching one of them in its mouth and running off with it lmao).

At Denver airport waiting for my flight and there are these 2 smoking hot asians.

For some reason, my boyish charms are not working. Must be lesbians. Porno lesbians.

Maybe if you said you’re wife could join for a foursome?

But then you’d need a babysitter for your newborn.

Anyways stayed awake for the aussie final and man it was a waste. You guys needed to tell Djokovic to tone it down and make it a match atleast.
